Academic Statistics

Since 1935 Concordia Lutheran High School has prepared men and women for service in American society. Today Concordia's reputation for academic excellence remains. Many of Fort Wayne's civic leaders and long-time business people trace their roots of success to the education the received at Concordia.

  • The graduated class 2007:
    • 81 attending Indiana state colleges and universities
    • 25 attending Indiana private colleges and universities
    • 4 attending the Concordia University System colleges and universities
    • 16 attending vocational or technical schools
    • 10 attending out-of-state colleges including: United States Military Acadamy at West Point, Colorado State University, Baker College, Long Beach State, Toledo University, Wright State, Harvard, Calvin College , Pratt and Emory
  • Twice given the Christus Award by the LCMS for excellence in Lutheran secondary education
  • Faculty members recognized locally, nationally and in the state of Indiana for excellence in teaching
  • Administrators who have served on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Non-Public Education Association and the Association of Lutheran Secondary Schools
  • A JROTC program recognized with the nation's highest evaluation, Honor Unit With Distinction
  • Annually a high percentage of Sophomores pass the ISTEP Graduation Gateway Test
  • Intervention Assistance Team, consisting of teachers, administrators, guidance personnel, staff and a school nurse to assess the needs of individual students who are struggling academically, emotionally, socially, or spiritually
  • An outdoor education area adjacent to the school for the community and elementary school projects
  • Advanced Placement courses in science, math, social studies, and English
  • An 8th semester policy allowing top students to begin college after seven semesters
  • Fully-certified staff and school administration
  • More than 10,000 alumni, 5100 of whom still reside in Northern Indiana
  • 50% of the Class of 2007 completed all requirements for the Academic Honors Diploma (state average = 31%)
  • 82% of the Class of 2007 completed all requirements for the Core 40 Diploma (state average = 68%)
  • 95% of the Class of 2007 will begin college in the fall (state average = 71%)
