Ever changing experiences

Our CLHS Family and Consumer Science teacher, Mrs. Stacey Salisbury, led faculty/staff devotions on Friday. She shared her thoughts on the changes we are experiencing and how our only constant is our Savior.

As I think about what she said, and what is happening in our world today and all of the changes, quotes that were in my daily calendar came to mind:

All mankind is divided into three classes: those that are immovable, those that are movable and those that move. Benjamin Franklin

-- May we always be included in those that move and may that movement be based in our faith…

Peace is not the absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means. Ronald Reagan

-- May we focus on peace in our time, created from and through our faith…

For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others. Nelson Mandela

-- May we remember all those kept in chains because of their faith and make sure that our faith is uppermost in all we do and with all whom we relate.

And may we never forget the Golden Rule that Christ laid down as we daily experience change in our lives: “ Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Matthew 7:12
