Welcome to Concordia Athletics

As we begin another exciting year of Concordia athletics, I invite you to consider the theme we have chose for this school year. Learn It, Live It, Loan It ... With Christ at the Center...! The theme does a good job of putting what we do here at Concordia in proper perspective, whether it be in athletics, in the classroom, or in any other aspect of the Concordia experience. In Ezra 7:10 we read, For Ezra prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach statues and ordinances in Israel. More than any other man, Ezra shaped the Jews who were returning from captivity in Persia into the spiritual leaders God intended for them to be. At Concordia, as we learn God's Word, live it daily in our lives and loan or share it with others in what we say and what we do, we become the spiritual leaders God intended for us to be.

Concordia athletics have been and will continue to be grounded in His Word because our coaches and athletes understand the importance of following the example Christ set for us. I see this regularly in the relationships between coaches and players and in the competitive spirit that does not seek to tear down others but to build up everyone.

- Mr. John Marks, Principal

The purpose of the Concordia Lutheran High School Athletic Program is to provide each participant with experiences that will be positive, educational and memorable. We present opportunities for the student athletes to excel as they learn how to cope with success and failure, how to strive toward a common goal, and how to discipline themselves.

We believe that the single most important aspect of the Concordia Lutheran High School Athletic Program is the development of the student athlete in a Christ-centered environment.
