These are full-year classes. Before selecting one of these courses,
a student must secure the written permission of the instructor.
The application process begins in January for the following school
year. Applications are available in the English Department Office.

PUBLICATIONS - YEARBOOK (3232-3233)

Credit 2 – Year
PREREQUISITE: None
The class is conducted as a journalistic workshop for students in
the preparation of the school yearbook. Intensive training in all
aspects of yearbook production is given at the start of the year,
followed by practice in planning page layout, creating photo coverage,
and intensive writing and revising. Students also gain experience
through scheduling appointments and managing time.

PREREQUISITE: None
Authentic journalism experience is offered in the preparation of
the school newspaper. The course consists of both in-class discussions
and presentations and workshop experience in newspaper production.
Students have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of publication,
including news, feature and sports writing, design, photography,
advertising, and business experiences.
