Listed below you will find various service activities that have been collected from the small group mentoring programs at Concordia Lutheran High School and Lutheran South High School of St. Louis.

Compassion International

We decided that we needed to do something to get all of us involved. At that time Compassion International was having their semi-annual drive to get 88 sponsors for 88 children on STAR 88.3. We decided that this was something we could all do. We pitch in every month to provide $40 to Atima Mary Grace. She is a 5 year old girl from Uganda. She has sent us letters with pictures on it, and we correspond to her via email. Compassion International is a great Christian organization. For every dollar you give, at least $.80 goes to your sponsored child and her family. To sponsor a child it is $32 a month, but Atima Mary Grace lives in an AIDS affected area; therefore, our extra $8 a month goes straight to AIDS prevention and awareness. Our money is helping her family, and it allows her to attend a Christian school.
