Available in our Study Center are opportunities to sharpen your study and testing techniques in subjects requiring reading, spelling, writing, math, and critical thinking skills. Each SC student works with a mentor teacher to improve organization and study skills. Students with special learning needs receive an Individualized Education Plan.

Also, juniors or seniors may participate in a program, “Survivor in College.” Each student individually contracts to come to the Center for a period of time (usually during a study hall) to work on specific skills required for taking PSAT, SAT, or ACT tests and achievement tests.

Materials used vary according to each student’s needs, but all will have access to a variety of reading materials, taped presentations, and computer programs which aid in increasing reading efficiency.

Placement in the SC requires approval of your Guidance Counselor.
