Middle School Bridge Design Competition

The 2021 DiscoverE Committee and the Anthony Wayne Chapter of the Indiana Society of Professional Engineers and Concordia Lutheran High School would like to invite you to participate in the 21st Annual Middle School Bridge Design Competition. In celebration of National Engineer’s Week, a student bridge design contest will be held for all area middle school students. Click the PDF below for the rules.
 

New Award this year

Engineering Resources, Inc is sponsoring an "Aesthetics & Quality Construction" Special Award for the student bridges that are entered into the contest. See the PDF below for details. 
 
It will take place in February 20, 2021
This competition challenges students in the areas of engineering, design, science, and creativity. Prizes will be provided by DiscoverE Committee.
 
Registration is 8:30 AM, and the contest start time is 9:30 AM.
 
Click here for directions to the high school. Participants of the bridge contest should park in the front lot and enter through the auditorium entrance. The contest will take place in the cafeteria. 
 
All area middle school students in grades 6-8 are invited to participate. 
 
Participants will only be permitted one adult per student.
 
Masks are required.
