Biography

Gretchen Spires joined the faculty in Fall 2023 to teacher Family & Consumer Sciences classes (two classes). Gretchen is a 1986 graduate of Concordia, and she and her husband, Dean, have three children who have graduated from Concordia (Garrett, Jackson, and Lauren). She holds a degree in Culinary Arts and has worked as a caterer and a personal chef, as well as the Operations Manager at the Ronald McDonald House. She has also worked at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. In her spare time, she loves to bake and do outdoor activities, including teaching horseback riding.
