Back-to-School Plan
This 2021-22 Back to School Plan had been created to guide the safe continuation of Concordia Lutheran High School’s mission to its students and families while under the impact of COVID-19 pandemic conditions. These plans are based on the continued improvements of the pandemic and recommendations from the local health department and the state. If the pandemic worsens, changes to these plans may be necessary and will be communicated out. All guidelines, rules, and expectations as outlined in the Student-Parent Handbook will apply unless noted otherwise. To view the handbook, please visit www.clhscadets.com/handbook. The following plans have been approved by our School Board of Directors.
Posted June 30, 2021. Updated February 18, 2022.

Masks
Masks are no longer required for students, teachers, or staff. However, if an individual prefers to wear a mask, they are welcome to do so.
Contact Tracing & Social Distancing
The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH), has informed schools in our state that the IDOH will end contact tracing of individuals who have been exposed to a positive COVID-19 case, and end the requirement that schools report positive COVID-19 cases to the IDOH.
COVID-19 Vaccine
The COVID-19 vaccine will NOT be required for students, teachers, and staff.
Remote Learning
Remote Learning may take place if any student is required to quarantine due to a positive COVID test or through close contact. We will continue to use Zoom for Remote Learning, as needed.
Cleaning & Sanitizing
Hand sanitizing stations will continue to be available throughout the building. Consistent cleaning will continue throughout the day and will continue to be a part of the end-of-the-classroom routine.
Daily Schedule
We will continue using our block-4 schedule (A-E days). E Days (a full 8-class day) are in effect for 2021-22.
Lunch
Lunch will be free for all students once again this year. Student collect their lunch from the cafeteria. Students will eat in an assigned area. Seniors will eat in the cafeteria. Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen will eat in their 3rd or 4th hour class, depending on the day.
Study Halls
All Study Halls will follow the guidelines of a Structured Study Hall. Structured Study Hall is a smaller environment, supervised in a teacher’s classroom. This time is considered the same as any class period with the same behavioral expectations.
Chapel & Koinonia
As guided by our school’s mission, Concordia will continue to exercise the community worship as Christ’s children through weekly chapel and student/faculty/staff Koinonia activities. Chapel and Koinonia will meet on C and D days. We will update our community on the schedule closer to the start of school.
Bookbags
Students will not be able to carry their bookbags to class. All bookbags will need to be stored in student lockers.
Drinking Fountains
Drinking fountains will remain closed, but bottle filling stations will still be available. Students are encouraged to bring water bottles with them to school.
Stairwells
Stairwells will continue to be one directional wherever possible.
Student Lockers
We will resume class hallways to assign a student locker for personal and school materials.
