Details for Graduation

To prepare for the Baccalaureate/Commencement Service, we ask all to keep the following in mind:
  • The health and safety of the graduates and their guests continues to be a priority for us, and as we continue to monitor guidance from local, state and national health officials we will consider the implementation of a variety of protocols to ensure the health and wellbeing of all those that attend the commencement ceremony. Please stay tuned for updates.
  • If you have any special needs for family or friends such as an interpreter for the deaf please be sure to let us know as quickly as possible so that arrangements may be made. Please contact
  • Unlike the Embassy Theatre, there are stairs to seats at Parkview Field. If you or your guest need other accommodations, please let us know as quickly as possible so that arrangements may be made. Please contact
  • As Commencement is contained within a worship setting, it is important to remember that we are in the presence of God and to act accordingly.
  • This is a formal event and the dress of students and guests should reflect that emphasis. Senior men are encouraged to wear a shirt and tie, dress slacks (no shorts) and dress shoes under the cap and gown. Senior women should wear dresses and dress shoes under the cap and gown. Please note that Seniors will be walking on the game field (grass) and warning track (packed dirt) when collecting their diploma at home plate.
  • There will not be a rehearsal this year for graduation, but seniors will be sent details of where/when to arrive and where to sit.
  • Seniors do not need to hire a private photographer for graduation. The high school has arranged a photographer for the event who will take a photo of every student walking across the “stage” (which will be printed and mailed to families over the summer). Event photos will also be posted on Facebook. If you have any questions, please contact Ashley Wiehe at
  • We will be offering videotaping and live streaming of the Commencement Service to graduates for free this year. Please watch for more details.
