Computer Camp—Raspberry Jam: Video Game System

Computer Camp—Raspberry Jam: Video Game System - New for 2019!

Get ready for Pi, Raspberry Pi that is. In this camp you will learn all about the credit card-sized Raspberry Pi computer as you construct a multi-platform video game system featuring emulators for machines such as Atari, Nintendo, Sega, and classic 80’s retro arcade games. Don’t let the fun fool you! Campers will gain basic computer science experience utilitzing .iso files, ROMs, hardware and software, I/O devices, operating systems, boot sequences, and so much more. Sound too technical? No worries. This is a beginning CS camp so no experience necessary. Campers will be provided with the Video Game Machine equipment through the camp at no additional cost. If they would like to have a system to take home at the end of the camp, they can purchase it on their own (a Video Game Machine compatible with any HDMI television) or purchase one through our camp for $85 (due at time of registration). Please plan to bring a sack lunch.
