Milholland Named Finalist for Congressional Art Competition

Senior Emily Milholland has been selected as a finalist for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition of Indiana 3rd District.

Her art piece, The Story Inn, will be on display during an invite only showcase on the afternoon of Thursday, May 9 at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art.

The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our Congressional District. It is open to all high school students in their particular Congressional District. The winning artwork of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol.

The exhibit in Washington will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country. The winning artwork is also featured on House.gov's Congressional Art Competition page.

This year's theme for the 3rd district was "Indiana."  Artwork should convey in some way that "Indiana is the feeling of Hoosier satisfaction, devotion and sense of attachment to the United States."
