Living the mission in all circumstances

Do you get the 9-1-1 text message alerts from the FWPD? I am still not sure how I clicked this button and now can’t get it cancelled. You may ask, what is in each alert? Well, it is basically more significant criminal activity that may put you or me at risk if we went into that area.

Each one I read makes me pray for the people involved, especially our police officers. I also pray for those who may be breaking the law.

What would you do? I hope that as a follower of Christ and perhaps a student or alumnus of CLHS your first thought would be prayer for all involved, and secondly, that you think about what you experienced or are experiencing at Concordia.

Being Christ-centered is not just marketing language — it is the truth of what and who we are for you and for Fort Wayne. And, although you may not realize it, we have alumni worldwide serving in a variety of careers including the church, Foreign Service, military, education and business. I believe that each of those alumni exemplify what we follow in our mission statement “… life-long learning and service as disciples of Christ. “

Do you believe that?
