Financial aid award package information

It is hard to believe we are at the middle of February. If your family has an incoming student, please make sure to complete the Tuition Scholarship applications before May 15. Returning students do not need to complete this.

Incoming freshmen financial aid letters went out last Monday. Returning students that do not receive the Choice Scholarship will receive their letters in mid-March. If you have received the Choice Scholarship, you will receive your letter at our meeting when we complete your Choice Scholarship paperwork for the State.

In March you will receive an email to let you know it’s time to set up your appointment to complete your Choice Scholarship paperwork. The appointments will start taking place in April. In order to fully complete this paperwork, the State requires us to use your 2019 Federal Tax Return, so please make sure you have completed this step prior to setting up your appointment.

For returning students, we will review the student’s GPA at the end of the year to make sure they are meeting the renewal criteria. If you are on warning you should have received a letter in the mail in January letting you know your student was not meeting the GPA renewal criteria.

For families with seniors, before coming to CLHS I worked in financial aid at the college level for over 13 years. As you receive your award letters from the colleges, if you have questions please feel free to contact me. I am willing to help go through letters, explain what they mean, or answer any questions you may have.

As always, if you should have any questions or your circumstances change, please feel free to contact me.
