Notification of security incident through Blackbaud

Over the summer, an incident occurred through Blackbaud where data may have been compromised. Our Blackbaud system is used to manage information on our Concordia Lutheran High School students, parents, alumni, donors, and friends of the school. Information includes demographic and financial information as well as giving histories.

A copy of our Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, and ResearchPoint backup was part of this incident. The compromised information did not contain any credit card information. Further, no bank account information, usernames, passwords, or social security numbers stored in our database were compromised because they were encrypted. None of our data was lost or corrupted as a result of this incident.

From the information that we have received from Blackbaud on the nature of the incident, their research, and third party (including law enforcement) investigation through Blackbaud, they do not believe that any data went beyond this incident or was or will be misused; or will be disseminated or otherwise made available publicly. Blackbaud has hired a third-party team of experts to monitor the dark web as an extra precautionary measure.

We are sending out this message to notify you of this incident. We will continue to work with Blackbaud to protect the data of our Concordia community members.

We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
