Mommer returns to CLHS as boys golf coach

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Mike Mommer has returned to Concordia Lutheran High School to coach the boys coach team.

Mommer is a 1963 graduate of Concordia and had previously coached the boys golf team at Concordia before stepping back a couple of years ago. He served for four years in the U.S. Air Force with tour of duty in Vietnam. He holds degrees from Indiana University (Indiana University Vocational Education/Secondary Education), a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Huntington University, and a master's from Ball State.

He has taught for more than 30 years at Heritage High School and New Haven High School. 

He has three daughters, Mariah Highlen, Suzanna Mommer, and Christina Betts. His wife Sherry teaches at Lindley Elementary, FWCS.
