Faculty Spotlight: Mrs. Luanne Erdos

What's your title at CLHS?
Business Teacher

When did you start at CLHS?
I began teaching at CLHS in August 2013.

Please describe your position at CLHS.
I teach business management, accounting, and marketing, advise the DECA club and direct the Career Internship program for seniors. I also lead the Honors Academy in addition to Matt's Rack.

What was your education that led you to CLHS?
I attended Medina Sr. High School, Medina, OH; received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Education from Grove City College, Grove City, PA. I also have master's degrees from Robert Morris University, PA and George Washington University, Washington, D.C.

What do you love most about teaching at CLHS?
I thoroughly enjoy high school students and the energy, creativity, and curiosity they bring to the classroom and activities. I love connecting students to mentors and professionals in the community for career internship and experiencing that journey with them. In that process, it is my pleasure and joy to share with community members our school mission.

What's your favorite story about your time at CLHS?
Just this fall I met one of my career internship student's mentor and while receiving a tour of the department at Parkview Regional Medical Center, I was introduced to several of her colleagues. It just so happens, I was introduced (and reunited) with a former career internship student of mine! It was delightfully fun to see and hear first hand the successful educational path of that student and her gainful employment here in Fort Wayne at PRMC doing what she loves to do! Her engagement in the career internship program made a positive difference, and now she can influence young people in their educational and career paths.
