5 DECA students qualify for international competition

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Concordia Lutheran High School’s DECA Chapter has five students who have qualified for International Career and Development Conference/Competition in Orlando, Fla., from April 21 to 26, 2023. The top four placements in each event advance to International DECA Competition. The CLHS students who have earned the right to advance include:

Kathryn Crook: 3rd place in Principles of Marketing

Maddox Krocker: 2nd place in Principles of Marketing

Lily Dry: 3rd place in Principles of Business Management

Jack Habegger: 4th place in Restaurant and Food Service Management

Abby Scheiderer: 3rd place in Accounting Applications

In addition, Lizzie Crook placed 1st in her test for Human Resources and Cam Cage placed 2nd in his test for Entrepreneurship. Four CLHS students made competency in their events: Drew Scheiderer, Cam Cage, Lizzie Crook and Grant Wood.
