Summer Overseas Travel Provides Students With Tremendous Opportunities

Students at Concordia have the opportunity to travel, whether with their language teacher to learn more about the daily life of other teenagers in Spain or Germany, or  with the social studies teachers to visit historical places in Europe that they have learned about in class, with the culinary department to taste the cuisine of Italy, the art department to see famous works at the Louvre that they have studied, or with the science department to learn more about the beautiful landscape and ecosystem that God created in Central America. The Bible tells us in Matthew 28:19 - Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Now, this summer, I don't see myself, nor any of the 14 students that are traveling to Spain, going out into the Mediterranean Sea and baptizing our friends, but we definitely have the opportunity to water the seed that was planted when they were here in September. While some of the students were believers, not all of them were! As we learn the history of the castles and churches, we can talk about the God that is alive and well now! Concordia has an abundance of travel opportunities - opportunities to see other parts of this Earth that God created, and to meet and interact with his people.
