How would you describe your position at CLHS? 

I am responsible for leading, managing, and implementing the overall JROTC unit program according to national, state, and district standards. I lead other assigned instructors in promoting cadet intellectual, social, patriotic, and character education, as well as physical growth. I am responsible for managing and implementing the military service's national education curriculum and program requirements to include the preparation, planning, coordination, and supervision of all co-curricular service learning, special activities, or events (military ball, drill meets, honor guards, Raiders, JLAB, rifle marksmanship, VEX Robotics, Drill Teams, and other extracurricular activities). I supervise property management and budget controls for the unit and administer the automated cadet record system (JUMS) and reporting.


What was your education that led you to CLHS?

I served for 26 years in the Armed Forces and worked for 3 years as the Assistant Professor of Military Science at IPFW.


What do you love most about teaching at CLHS?

I love the passing of the torch to our future leaders.


What's your favorite story about your time at CLHS?

My favorite story is being able to share my knowledge and passion of my vocation with my own children who were/are Concordia Lutheran JROTC Cadets.
