Cadets in Cadence: White Diamond Christmas Gala

Our 40th Annual Cadets in Cadence: White Diamond Christmas Gala is taking place in just a few short weeks and we are so excited to gather for fun and fellowship; all while raising dollars to support the families and students of CLHS!

Our annual auction has doubled in attendance and the giving we have been able to experience over the last several years is nothing short of amazing. However, we’d be remiss to think that this event could take place without the students, families, faculty/staff, and volunteers who help to make this night such an extraordinary evening.

Students…our students are a very large part of making this night a success.  All our students are given the opportunity to sign up to help with serving the meal the evening of the event.  Our JROTC program has been a part of the event since its beginning and continues to provide their support with the coat check, presenting of the colors, and our Saber Guard Welcome.  Our students in our fitness classes help make sure the gym floor is protected by laying carpet squares. And after the evening is all over, many of our students show up Sunday morning to help with tear down.

Families…what would we do without our current families? Last year, with their support and donations, we were able to provide many silent auction items for bidding. Families of each class had a theme and donated items that could be packaged together from each class.  As we prepare for this year, we are thankful to see the generosity of these families in their continued support.

Faculty…with the giving of their time, talents, and gifts, our faculty help to make this night a success. You will see faculty enjoying the evening as attendees, others are watching over our silent auction booths to make sure our items are secure, and still others who are not able to attend the night of will be here Sunday morning to help with tear down. Our departments all provide a basket for our silent auction and some teachers/coaches provide individual services for our silent auction.

Last but not least, the volunteers (alumni, grandparents, friends, businesses) are critical to the success of this night. They are the ones who show up and say “how can I help?”

TOGETHER, we are able to provide an evening enjoyed by so many in our community and raise dollars to support CLHS!  So, as we approach the finish line for this year’s event, may we give thanks to the One from whom all blessings flow.
