Positive report on Concordia’s Accreditation evaluation

From the Spring 2019 Cadets Magazine

From Mychal Thom, Head of School

Recently, Concordia was visited by an Accreditation team representing the National Lutheran School Accreditation body, as well as AdvancED.

Throughout a three-day process, this team conducted 102 interviews with various stakeholder groups, including 53 classroom observations. They reviewed many documents and pieces of evidence with which we provided them to demonstrate our success in meeting each of seven key areas:

1.Clear Direction

2.Healthy Culture

3.High Expectations

4.Impact of Instruction

5.Resource Management

6.Efficacy of Engagement

7.Implementation Capacity

The final mark is that we have been recommended for Accreditation through 2024! Praise be to God!

We are expecting the written report to be here in about six weeks, once it goes through the National Lutheran School and AdvancED offices. As we receive that, we will be taking a look and analyzing the areas that have been lifted up as strong areas, and also those in which we can work to improve.

We are excited and have much to celebrate with this recent accolade. That said, we also look forward to continuously improving the ways we strive to accomplish our mission:

To pursue Christ-centered educational excellence that equips individuals for life-long learning and service as disciples of Jesus Christ.

May God continue to bless us and strengthen us to that end!
