Support Concordia families impacted by COVID-19

This is never how I imagined finishing out this school year — or any school year. I miss saying “hi” to students in the hallway and worshipping together each week for chapel. But I love how our community has come together during this pandemic.

Our teachers, within days, made the switch to Remote Learning. Our staff continued their work from their homes while balancing family obligations. And our students continue to amaze me with their perseverance and resilience during this time.

While we are continuing education as normal as possible, we know that things are not anywhere close to normal for many of our families.

Because of this, we have established an Emergency Relief Fund to help those families impacted by COVID-19 through the loss of employment or income, illness or other means. But we need your help.

On April 28, we will host a “Cadet Day of Caring” where we are asking for your gifts and prayers to support our Emergency Relief Fund. Gifts to this fund will go to provide assistance for tuition, fees, and related Concordia educational expenses to Concordia families in need during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years.

Since COVID-19 began, we have received so many notes of support and thanks for the great work of our teachers and staff. We cannot tell you how much this means to us.

During this time, please know that your gifts matter. Concordia Lutheran High School has existed since 1935 because of your amazing support. Now, more than ever, your gift, regardless of its size, will make a difference.

Please give today to the Emergency Relief Fund so that no family has to make the decision not to send their student to Concordia because of finances.

Until we are able to see you again, thank you for your support and prayers!

Following His Lead,

Mychal Thom,
Head of School
