What's your title at CLHS?
Science Teacher and JV Boys Head Basketball Coach

When did you start at CLHS
2019-2020 school year

Please describe your position at CLHS
I teach Anatomy & Physiology, Human Body Systems, and Biology. I also coach the JV Boys Basketball team.

What was your education that led you to CLHS?
I received my degree in Exercise and Movement Science from Missouri State University. After pursuing medicine and narrowly missing being accepted into medical school, I got my teaching certification and Master of Education degree from Concordia University Wisconsin. It was there that I was made aware of an open teaching position here at CLHS.

What did you love most about teaching at CLHS?
Spending time with the students brings me a lot of joy, whether that's during class, lunch, in the hallways, or at practice after school. Being able to leverage those relationships to point the kids to Christ is something that I cherish each day.

What's your favorite story about your time at CLHS?
For National Lutheran Schools Week, I buzzed my hair, dressed up like Mr. Brackmann for Teacher Look-a-Like Day, and walked around school as if I was him. You wouldn't believe the number of students who I fooled as I stood in the hallways or popped into classrooms!
