CLHS provides 247 boxes of gifts for families in need this season

Dec. 6, 2022

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — 247 boxes of gifts. 4 bikes. 16 families. A guitar, a sled, and a Little Tikes Basketball Hoop… and a very Merry Christmas.

For more than 40 years, Concordia Lutheran High School has been gathering and donating gifts to the Christmas Bureau for children in need. This year, 16 families will benefit from the many donations from students, faculty and staff. Click here to see photos.

“It went very smoothly which is a testament to the generosity of the Concordia community,” said Kyle Jane, Concordia teacher, who organizes the project for the high school. “Being able to pull the resources of the students and staff allows us to serve large families that other companies may not be able to do.”

The students spent the morning wrapping and packaging gifts to be delivered to the families. A truck was then packed up and taken the mall for distribution through the Christmas Bureau.

Christmas cheer was felt by all!
