Todd was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran, confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran and attended Peace Lutheran, where he married Kristi, his wife of 33 years. They moved to Portland, Ind., and they became members of Peace Lutheran, Berne for nearly 30 years. Todd served as Congregational President for one term and as Elder for multiple terms. Todd and Kristi returned to Peace Lutheran in Fort Wayne in 2022. They currently reside near Roanoke, Ind.
Todd attended Unity Lutheran School, and later Concordia Lutheran High School, graduating in 1983. He played basketball and baseball while attending CLHS. He worked for Wildcat Baseball during the summer of his high school and college years.
After graduation, Todd attended IPFW. To pay for school, he took a part-time job at Pizza Hut as a cook. He soon fell in love with the business. As the Pizza Hut brand was growing, he was asked to go into the management training program. Todd worked his way through the management ranks, first running his first restaurant in Portland, then becoming an area coach in Fort Wayne. As the company was preparing its succession plan, he became the Director of Operations, eventually the Chief Operating Officer and later the President and CEO. Todd also currently serves on the Freeland Group Restaurants Board of Directors. Freeland Group Restaurants owns and operates 83 Pizza Huts in Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin as well as six Dave's Hot Chicken restaurants in Indiana and Ohio.
Todd serves as secretary on the International Pizza Hut Franchise Holders Association Board of Directors, as well as the national Food Committee and the System Operations Committee. He formerly served on the Asset Development and Dine-in Committees.
Todd has served as treasurer on Friends of the Allen County Juvenile Center’s board, treasurer and finance chair on Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana’s Board, council of CEOs of the Regional Partnership of Northeast Indiana, and treasurer on Northeast Indiana Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Board, where he currently serves as Vice Chairman and Policy Committee Chairman.
Todd and Kristi have three children: Drew, Maggie and Emma. Drew Hollman is an athletic trainer with the Adams County Memorial Health system, Maggie Schoeph is a special education teacher at Carroll High School, and Emma Hollman recently graduated from University of Indianapolis and is employed as a nurse for Community Health in Indianapolis.
