Scott Storm Recognized as a Champion of Change

Mr. Scott Storm is an enthusiastic leader dedicated to advancing technology education and promoting
diversity in STEM. Through his roles at Concordia Lutheran High School and as an instructor at Purdue University Fort Wayne, he integrates innovative tech into classrooms and inspires students to pursue STEM careers. He founded “Disrupting the Pink Aisle” to empower high school girls in computer science, offering mentorship and hands-on learning opportunities. Scott also leads summer camps introducing grade school students, especially girls, to programming and robotics. His mentorship has helped students earn major scholarships and explore tech careers. A key advocate for the “Make Computer Science Count” initiative,
Scott played a pivotal role in making computer science a graduation requirement in Indiana. Through these efforts, he’s transforming education, shaping future tech leaders, and building a more inclusive and skilled
community in Allen County. His impact extends far beyond the classroom, leaving a lasting legacy in
Fort Wayne.
