Alumni Spotlight: Lexi Ehle

I am a photographer for the New England Patriots NFL team. I help fulfill all photo needs for the organization, which includes coverage of games, practices, workouts, community events, portraits, products, and more. A typical day at work for me can be anything from shooting player interviews in the locker room to flying across the country with the team to an away game. My job changes a lot day to day, but it always includes hours of photo editing!

I have been passionate about photography my entire life and got my first professional camera when I was 12. I spent years practicing my photography through classes and impromptu photoshoots with my best friend, but I never considered it as a career path until I got to college. At Purdue, I was hired as a student photographer for the athletic department and had the incredible opportunity to capture content for all 18 different sports teams, including a men's basketball team that went to the NCAA National Championship! My time at Purdue fueled my love for sports photography and led me to my first job in the NFL with the Colts. After an incredible year with the Colts, I moved out to New England to start my current role as a photo associate for the Patriots.

I spent four years at Purdue University, majoring in Media & Mass Communication with a minor in Art & Design. Boiler up!

While at Concordia Lutheran High School, I was involved in cheerleading, tennis, National Honor Society, and Concordia Scholars. My favorite thing about CLHS was being surrounded by teachers and coaches who genuinely cared about me and offered prayers and Christ-like mentorship. This is a unique privilege that I wish I had appreciated more at the time.

In high school, it is easy to always be looking ahead to the future. My best advice is to be present every day where you are now. Focus on the unique opportunities this time of your life offers and invest in the people around you.

My favorite Bible verse is my confirmation verse, Proverbs 31:25: "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." This verse reminds me of the kind of person I want to be and my ability to be those things because of God.
