My name is Chad Hunter, and I graduated in 2014. I currently serve as an Exterior Representative and Marketing Specialist for Windows Doors & More, a proud family-owned business. In my role, I work on exterior home remodeling projects, including replacement windows, doors, roofing, siding, and room additions. I also assist my dad and boss, Kevin Hunter, with marketing efforts. My path into this work was shaped by my family, especially my dad and my brother Trevor Hunter (Class of 2017). Together, we have shared a desire to keep the business family-owned while continuing the mission of taking care of homeowners one project at a time.
After graduating from Concordia, I attended Huntington University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in International and Development Studies in 2019.
During my time at CLHS, I played a variety of sports, including football, baseball, and soccer, though I will admit I am much better at watching them now. I was also a proud member of the Canstruction team, whose mission I greatly admired. One of my favorite memories from Concordia was participating in the March for Life, advocating for the value of all human life.
What I loved most about CLHS was the people and the Christian education and culture. Concordia brought many Christ-centered individuals into my life, and I formed several lifelong friendships during my time there. It played a significant role in shaping my worldview, and I am very thankful for my four years at CLHS.
My advice to current students is not to become complacent or think CLHS is just another Christian or private school. It is not. It is an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and build lifelong friendships and connections. Be grateful for your time there, and make the most of all four years.
One of my favorite Bible verses is John 14:6: “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”
Finally, I want to thank the many teachers and staff members who positively impacted my life and invested in me, and for being especially patient with the high school version of me.
