Concordia names two new coaches

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Concordia Lutheran High School has named two new head coaches for the softball and boy’s golf teams.

Brian Kurek joins the staff as the new softball coach. He served as head coach in girls middle school basketball and fast pitch softball as well as multiple league boards for more than fifteen years primarily within the southwest community of Fort Wayne. He also served as head softball coach at New Haven High School. He is currently employed at Fort Wayne Metals in sales/customer service and serves on staff at the Rescue Mission.

Dan Wert is joining CLHS as the new boys golf coach. He graduated from Concordia in 2012 after lettering all four years in golf. He then attended IPFW and recently graduated with a degree in organizational leadership. While at IPFW, he was a member of the men's golf team and was able to travel the country playing Division 1 golf. He currently works as the assistant at Canterbury Green golf course, and he is looking to make a career in the golf industry.
