At the end of the semester, Concordia Lutheran High School will be graduating 155 of its seniors, and with them, four of its longtime faculty and staff members. This year, the high school is celebrating the retirements of Terry Breininger, executive director and former assistant principal and teacher; Paul Fluegge, history and government teacher; Dianne Moellering, music and band teacher; and Kevin McGuigan, director of buildings and grounds.

This year, a group of Concordia students have experienced this through the immigrant outreach tutoring program at Forest Park Elementary, a public school in Fort Wayne.

The computer science class is breaking the model of the typical classroom — to the power of Pi. With innovative thinking that was financed through the Cadet Fund, Scott Storm’s computer science classes purchased $2,500 worth of Raspberry Pi products to push his students’ ingenuity to the next level.

It could be no less explained than as a Cinderella story. It’s a story that has been building for the last couple of years under the direction of Coach Jamie Jones and the lead of now-senior Zach Davis. And this year, they finally got their glass slipper.

Crystal Castleman, a beloved teacher of 13 years, can credit her time at Concordia to her now-husband, Dean.

All you need to know about math, you can learn from curling. Well, maybe not everything, but, according to Phil Brackmann, you can learn a lot.

If there is anyone as passionate and enthusiastic about his teaching field, it’s Scott Storm.

Concordia Lutheran High School music teacher Dianne Moellering has been chosen as a winner of this year’s Michiana Outstanding Music Educator Award. This special award recognizes excellence in the field of music education in the Michiana area.
