Hello Concordia,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! It is with great joy and gratitude that we begin the 92nd year of Concordia Lutheran High School serving the Fort Wayne community through Christ-centered education. We thank God for His continued faithfulness and opportunity to partner with families as we equip young people for lives of learning, leadership, service, and discipleship.
Each new school year brings excitement and anticipation. Students wonder who will be in their classes, where their locker is located, how challenging their courses will be, and what opportunities await them. Parents entrust us with one of God's greatest gifts - their children. Teachers and staff eagerly prepare classrooms, lessons, and activities, praying that every student will grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. All of this occurs while construction and renovation work continues in our building. We have much to be thankful for!
Our school theme for the year is "Steadfast... with Christ at the Center," based on 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” In a world that is constantly changing, God's Word calls us to remain steadfast and immovable, anchored in the unchanging love and promises of Jesus Christ. As we learn, lead, compete, worship, and serve together this year, may Christ be the firm foundation that guides every step and every success.
Students, you will benefit from what you invest in your learning, relationships, and activities. Some simple advice for success:
- Talk with your teachers.
- Ask questions.
- Eat well and get enough sleep.
- Laugh and celebrate others.
- Put your phone away.
- Pray daily.
God continues to bless Concordia with the gift of talented and caring teachers - joining Concordia this year are:
- Mr. David Bahr - teaching AP Statistics, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2. Mr. Bahr began his teaching career at CLHS in the 1980s. Mr. Bahr returns to Concordia from Milwaukee, WI where he taught at Lake Country Lutheran School for 25+ years.
- Ms. Angela Bell is teaching Spanish 1 and Spanish 3. Ms. Bell has been teaching for 20+ years in EACS, FWCS, and at Central Christian School.
- Mrs. Faithe Lawson joined CLHS this past February teaching math classes. This school year, Mrs. Lawson will be teaching Geometry and PLTW Engineering classes.
- Mr. Jordan Meier, is a recent graduate of Concordia University Chicago, and a 2022 CLHS alum. Mr. Meier will be teaching Social Studies and Theology classes.

You will notice additional help and safety support at CLHS with officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department and a Cross Guard at the Anthony Blvd streetlight. The crossing guard will be on duty before and after school to assist students parking at Zollner Stadium. The FWPD office will assist with parking lots and other school routines.
Parking - with the limited number of stalls in the main parking lot, students have been assigned a parking spot for the school year. The assigned parking stall is reserved for the student from 8:00 AM - 3:10 PM. Parking in the main lot is open to all for evening and weekend events. Students who choose or have been assigned to park at Zollner Stadium are asked to cross Anthony Blvd at the streetlight with the assistance of the crossing guard.
Drop Off - Enter the main lot from either Anthony Blvd or St Joe River Drive and proceed to pull in front of our Main Entrance (door 1) to drop off your student. After your student exits the vehicle, please turn right on to St Joe River Drive for safety and traffic flow reasons.
Pick Up - parents may enter the lot as early as 2:30 PM and park around the perimeter of the lot from the construction fencing to the Creator’s Classroom. Please do not park in the fire lane or in front of the Main Entrance (door 1). You can have your child meet you at your car, or you can proceed to pull in front of the main entrance. When your student is safely in the car, please turn right on to St Joe River Drive for safety and traffic flow reasons. Some parents choose to wait at Zollner and have their child walk to the car to avoid the moving traffic in our main parking lot.
Schedule Logistics and CLHS Schedule FAQs for the school year:
- A Days - Academic classes begin at 8:40 AM with faculty meetings occurring earlier. The activity wing opens at 7:15 AM for students who need to arrive early. Doors to the Academic Wing open at 8:20 AM on A Days.
- B Days - Academic classes begin at 8:40 AM with student/teacher Office Hours for academic help and student clubs/activities meeting starting at 7:30 AM. The activity wing opens at 7:15 AM. Doors to the Academic Wing open at 7:30 AM on B Days.
- C Days - Chapel. Academic classes begin at 8:00 AM. The activity wing opens at 7:15 AM for students who need to arrive early. Doors to the Academic Wing open at 7:40 AM on C Days. Periods 1, 3, 5, 7 meet.
- D Days - Koinonia. Academic classes begin at 8:00 AM. The activity wing opens at 7:15 AM for students who need to arrive early. Doors to the Academic Wing open at 7:40 AM on D Days. Periods 2, 4, 6, 8 meet.
- E Days - Academic classes begin at 8:00 AM. All 8 class periods meet.
And a Public Service Announcement - Indiana state law requires drivers to stop when a school bus has its stop arm extended and red lights flashing. Failure to do so can result in a traffic ticket and your driver's license being suspended. Here are helpful reminders from the Indiana State Police on how to navigate the roads as school buses pick up and drop off students.
