COVID-19 Information

Symptoms of COVID-19

The symptoms of COVID-19 as determined by the CDC and the Allen County Health Department are as follows:

  • Fever of over 100.4
  • Cough
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Chills
  • Muscle Pain
  • Headache
  • Sore Throat
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
 

Persons who test positive for COVID-19 are recommended but not required to inform the school.

Symptom Onset and/or a Positive Case of COVID-19 Infection

Anyone testing positive for COVID-19 or experiencing an onset of multiple symptoms of COVID-19 during the school year are recommended but not required to report that to the administration of CLHS. 

Schools and local health departments are encouraged to keep schools open and operating as much as possible.  If someone experiences symptoms or has been tested and is positive for COVID-19, that student and potentially those in recent close contact may be required to stay home for several days for the purposes of health assessment and contact tracing.

As of March 14, 2024, per CDC guidelines, if positive, you are only required to quarantine for 24 hours.
