Computer Camp—Raspberry Jam: Video Game System

Computer Camp—Raspberry Jam: Video Game System

Get ready for Pi, Raspberry Pi that is. In this camp you will learn all about the credit card sized Raspberry Pi computer as you construct a multi-platform video game system featuring consoles such as Atari, Nintendo, Playstation, Sega, and classic 80’s retro arcade games like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. Don’t let the fun fool you! Campers will gain basic computer science experience utilizing .iso files, ROMs, hardware and software, I/O devices, operating systems, boot sequences, SSH/SFTP networking and so much more. Sound too technical? No worries. This is a beginning CS camp so no experience is necessary.

If you would like to take the finished game system home (and who wouldn’t) complete with controllers and cables be sure to get the Game System camp add-on. If you do not want to keep the video game system campers can use our materials at no additional cost. Register by May 16 for your Summer of Code USB Flash drive containing all materials used in camp. Please plan to bring a sack lunch.
