Twenty CLHS students are preparing to embark on a German travel adventure. Two days after graduation, these students and their teacher (Herr LaCroix) will travel to Lüdenscheid, Germany for four weeks of immersion living through GAPP (German American Partnership Program).

During the days just before spring break I invited students to contribute to a "mural" on my white board, with the theme "What I LOVE about Spring Break."

Ted Hathaway has been named the new head coach for the boys tennis program at Concordia Lutheran High School.

This year’s recipients are Dakota Hitzemann from Emmanuel-St. Michael Lutheran School, Maxwell Park from St. Paul's Lutheran School and Keller Whicker from Riverview Middle School. All three will be freshmen at CLHS next year.

As my career as a teacher and playwright for CLHS draws to a close, there are two events to put on your busy calendar before it gets too full. A special invitation is to all alumni in the Fort Wayne area. I would really like to see you again.

I have never considered myself a brave person. Rather, I am quite fearful of many things that others do easily and naturally. When I was four, my parents allowed me to quit swimming lessons because I was afraid. During class trips to amusement parks, I held my friends’ bags while they rode all of the rides because I was afraid. I didn’t test for my driver’s license until 12th grade because I was afraid. And I have turned down amazing opportunities and adventures because I was afraid.

Two films were named the top winners at the 2019 Concordia Comedy Festival on March 15.

Forty Concordia students were nominated to participate in the American Mathematics Competition on Wednesday, February 13, a nationwide mathematics contest.

As the end of the school year approaches and our thoughts turn to graduation, here are a few suggestions for parents and graduating seniors.
